Roots Without Borders is an emerging non-profit organization that uses environmental education as a tool to explore and celebrate cultural diversity. We are currently based out of Ontario, Canada and Ghana, West Africa.

George and Christy, the founders of Roots Without Borders, are a Ghanaian/Canadian couple that aim to bridge the gap between different cultures by providing opportunities for cross-cultural collaboration on environmental projects. They met in Ghana while working on a sustainable agriculture project five years ago, and their passion for environmental education and cultural solidarity has kept them together ever since and inspired them to launch Roots Without Borders.

“It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.” – Audre Lorde
